Yingtao Liu is a Research Scientist in the Adaptive Intelligent Materials & Systems (AIMS) Center at Arizona State University (ASU) in Tempe, Arizona. He received this Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from ASU in March 2012, and received his M.S. and B.S. from Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China in 2006 and 2004. Currently his research interests focus on structural health monitoring, nondestructive testing, multifunctional materials and smart materials, and adaptive structures. The results of this research have been documented in 14 referred journal articles and 18 conference proceedings. He has served as a reviewer for seven international journals including Smart Materials and Structures, Journal of Intelligent Material Structures and Systems, Journal of Energy, Nanotechnology, Measurement Science and Technology, Journal of Engineering, Design and Technology, and JoM: The Member Journal of TMS.
